• "We have a monthly potluck and meeting the first Sunday of each month at 6 pm. We usually sponsor large community wide events on World Vegetarian Day (Oct 1) and the July 4 weekend (usually a vegan BBQ with live music, etc). We work to educate about the benefits of a vegetarian diet, and support those wanting to make the change."

• Many ethnic foods: Moroccan, Greek, Asian, etc. Good atmosphere, live bands, ethnic gift shop.

• Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern fast-food. Vegan-friendly. "Drive-thru only. Serves vegetarian sandwiches & entrees at a great price."

Tin Pan Alley, 1105 Massachusetts, 749-9756

• Has a few vegetarian items. Not sure if there any vegan items. Everything from Italian to Mexican to Greek and American. Diverse food, but it doesn't taste generic. Includes a full bar as well. Good place to go if you have carniverous friends: lots of variety.

• "Supports the small local farmers. A great salad bar, vegan-friendly deli, organic produce, and a wide selection of natural products. Very friendly people."

• Has a vegan-friendly deli. Sells non-vegetarian items. "Quite large, especially for Lawrence. Farmer's market in the parking lot during Summer & Fall on Tue & Thu in the afternoon, and Sat mornings."
